The School Council at St Giles Academy is made up of eight Year 6 pupils, who have been chosen by their peers.
The School Council meet every fortnight on a Thursday morning with all pupils of St. Giles Academy to ensure that all pupils are involved in the running of the school.
They lead an assembly where they listen to lots of positive comments from the children, gain feedback from their Question of the Week and reflect on what has been said.
It is a great opportunity to share exciting ideas for activities or events that children
would like to to take place. Children also have meetings and projects that they work on throughout the year, showing true empowerment at its best!
Last year we raised some money for play equipment by selling hot chocolate and cookies at break times.
