Posts Required for Early Years/KS1:


Teaching Assistants required, three posts available (all initially temporary for 1 year; could lead to a permanent post).

Full time, term time only 39 weeks per year.

Salary G3 (scale point 6-9) £15,807 – £17,419 pro rata


One-One teaching assistant also required to work with a child in Early Years who has an Educational Health Care Plan for social and emotional needs.

Main purpose of the job:


  • Be responsible for the learning and achievement of selected pupils in the phase ensuring equality of opportunity for all
  • Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct
  • Work proactively with selective pupils to support behaviour within the classroom.
  • Work alongside individual pupils to support their emotional and social needs
  • Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position
  • Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of pupils
  • Act within, the statutory frameworks, which set out their professional duties and responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification required
