Class 13 2017/18

Welcome to Class 13

Spring Term Project 2018

‘Is waiting always boring?’

During this term we will be working in news teams to create a magazine for children to read in  waiting rooms. We identified that we often get bored when waiting for a doctors or dentist appointment, so decided to share some of our passions in a magazine. We will identify roles within our teams such as editor, photographers and writers and create mood boards, decide on content and submit articles to be passed through the editor before publishing our final design and delivering them to local surgeries.

Autumn Term Project 2017

‘What if there is no place like home?’

Throughout this project we achieved many great things with our learning, from our understanding of homeless life, to the local organisations available to support the homeless in Lincoln. Our project required us to identify products and donations that would help the homeless and then for us to write letters to local companies to ask for them.

The support received was great and we were able to create over 25 gift bags and 10 hampers for The Nomad Trust in Lincoln. You can read their Facebook post about our donations below.

As well as this we were able to take part in a live interview with BBC Radio Lincolnshire, meet the local MP, Karen Lee and visit numerous places such as the Walkers Factory, Lincolnshire Co-Op and Tesco.
